UPDATED - Children of Eden - Request for Costume Items

An email was sent to all parents on the evening of 1/1 regarding COE costume items needed.  

If you did not receive the email, please email me at musical@olsh.org so I can get you on the distribution list.

Here is the list of items we are looking for.  Please bring in any items ASAP.

• Hangers
• Sheets
• Curtains
• Tablecloths
• Fabric
• Sewing supplies
• Clothing (especially older)
• Large cereal or snack boxes (light cardboard)
• Brown paper from Amazon boxes
• Paint
• Styrofoam balls

Each student will have (at least) THREE costumes for this show. You will need to help us create TWO of them. 

"Expelled from the Garden":

For this costume, please send neutral colored items that will fit your student. We are looking for shirts, trousers, skirts, overalls, aprons, etc. Texture is great! Some wear and tear doesn't matter. If you have things that will fit somebody else, please send them along as well. We will be piecing these items together and distressing them heavily to accomplish this look. You will not get these pieces back.

"Generations":

For this costume, we will be creating yardage of "patchwork". It will include some pieces of old dirty patchwork and also some brightly colored, beautiful patchwork. We are looking to show that people have become resourceful and creative. Please send fabrics and clothing that we can cut apart and create new items with.

As you can see, this is a labor intensive show. Please plan to come to our parent work days. You do not need to have a specific skill set, we need all types of help. It's a great way to get to know the other parents. We will teach you whatever skills are needed.
