SUMMER THEATRE BOOT CAMP 2025
Hello Everybody!
Below is some important information regarding camp.
- Every person involved in this camp is expected to RESPECT ALL involved in this process. Sometimes we will ask you to step out of your comfort zone as we work on growing as performers. OLSH Theatre will always be a safe place for you to do that. We expect you to be respectful, engaged, kind, supportive, and honest in all activities. We are a family, and we must work together. If there is an issue, please share your concerns with Ms Manuel.
- Our main means of communication will be the OLSH Theatre Blog. This is the first place to go for schedules, questions regarding rehearsal, what to bring with you, what to wear, etc, etc, etc. We will also keep an abbreviated version of this schedule on the OLSH Theatre Facebook Page. Please 'like" the page to keep up to date and also see posts and photos from rehearsals.
- Camp runs two weeks and will begin on Monday, June 16th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. Specific dates and times will be on the blog if we have any special rehearsal calls.
- We will have TWO performances on the Fridays of camp. These will be evening performances. We will remain at camp each Friday, eat dinner as a group, and then prepare for our show. Some of the elements of the show will be the same each week and some will be new/different material. More info will come out next week.
- We will finalize our script after the first few days of camp. Some of you are new to us, so we want to see what you can do. There will be an audition, but PLEASE DON'T PANIC. There will be plenty to do for all involved.
- If you have any friends interested in attending camp, please let me know ASAP. We have a few spaces open. The cutoff is 30 students and we are close to that. Friends of OLSH students (entering grade 9 and up) are welcome to attend, but I need to have everything finalized by Monday (first day of camp).
- Please bring a water bottle, 3 ring binder, and pencil to every rehearsal. You may also want a highlighter.
- Please wear comfortable and school appropriate clothing that you can move in. The auditorium gets warm, so shorts and tee shirts are great. If you want to wear a modest tank top, that is fine. Just please remember that we are rehearsing in school. If you have dance shoes please bring them. If not, tennis shoes will work. NO flip flops, slides, or sandals on stage.
Best Regards,
Ms Manuel and The OLSH Theatre Production Team
